The first of a series of upcoming games, Cypress Inheritance bills itself as a psychological thriller and challenges players to defeat enemies and puzzles alike from a first person perspective that is similar to certain action RPGs which are familiar on console play.

Finally, player’s can use bluetooth to tether their devices and take on past challenges once more in the game’s new multiplayer mode. Another new feature allows players to post said score on a global ranking board which works in concert with game center if you’re playing on iOS. A new mode allows players to revisit conquered levels of the game in order to fine-tune their technique and improve their score. Other new features crammed into this port are geared towards maintaining the arcade-style feel of the original game. With Window Mode, the player can bring controls closer to the edge of the screen, or adjust them to the size of their hands and enable the most clear viewing space possible. After paying all of that money for you shiny smartphone with its high resolution screen and however many pixels per square inch, the last thing you want is some translucent button blocking any of the artistic assets that developers work so hard to craft. Of the new features, the one that seems to stick out on mobile platforms is the new “Window Mode.” One of the most annoying things about virtual controls is the way that they obscure portions of the screen. SNK Playmore, the game’s developers are calling this a “perfect port” of the original NEOGEO game which makes use of functionality granted by touch-based platforms. The NEOGEO classic, Metal Slug 2 has just invaded the mobile space for iOS and Android devices.
